The security forces are doing the best job possible.
They are doing a fantastic job, wbm. No doubt they'll 'get it in the neck' when the bad guys, inevitably, get 'lucky'.

//There are other, minor points, but these seem to me to be a basic need. Otherwise we shall have to populate entire islands with Muslims internees (as happened in WW2 to Germans sent to the I.o.M.)//

Perhaps rather than send a troupe of Shakespearean actors to the Calais campers to educate them with the words of the Baird they should be given a film show.
It could show a vast tented enclave, similar to their own, surrounded by razor wire on the Island of Gruinard. Just before 'Fin' comes up on the screen their could be a brief explanation why Gruinard had remained uninhabited for so long.!
Might dampen their enthusiasm to cross the Manche.
My Grandparents came to Britain after the 'france-German war in the 1870's, and because of that, at the beginning of WWII, my Grandmother was interned (They came from Alsace Loraine, the German part).

I believe, until things have been sorted out. ALL muslims should be interned and each family checked out, before being let back.

Of course, instead of being interned, they would be allowed to go to the nearest muslim country of their choice.
1rovert,
And if they checked you out, I am sure you would pass.
The 7/7 bombers were born here, the Paris and Brussels bombers were home grown.
What has happened is that third and fourth generation immigrants, whose parents and grandparents appreciated the sanctuary and opportunities of being allowed to live here, those present descendants have become radicalised and are rejecting our way of life.
There are many reasons for that, but no amount of checking their families, or background checks will work. The natire of those radicalised, is that no one knows until they commit an act of terrorism.

I realise that I am saying there may be 50, 100 or more terrorist waiting to attack us, but locking up 2 million muslims (even if it were pissible, and it isn't), would not find them and stop them.
