naomi, I understand Liverpool gets the first editions of the newspapers, the ones that kept the news off the front page. Hence the upset when they arrived there and seemed to be playing the story down. Telling the south east the news, but not the people who most wanted to read it, is clumsy to say the least.

Interesting that the Sun has backed down, at least online. I don't know why they ignored the story in the first place: they shamed themselves in 1989 but had made a decent job of apologising in recent years. Now they've undone that good work again
