Remember that if we leave the EU but still want our vital access to the single market we have to remain in the EEA (European Economic Area).
The same rules of freedom of movement and labor apply within the EEA as in the EU. So we will still have just as much immigration from Europe but with no say in how the rules are made or implemented.
No one who supports 'leave' seems to realize that!
Also of course the UK being in or out of the EU or the EEA has no effect whatsoever on immigration from outside Europe, they will still want to come here.
