No word on the potatoes, but their factories are all in places you'd expect to grow potatoes large scale in (yes including Ireland) so I'd be surprised if they were importing them. It would seem a daft thing to do in the British Isles. But freezing may be more cost effective on the continent
Islay you've basically said what I was saying so don't get the terse bit. we don't have people who want to do it so why not let others who welcome the chance to?
I don't doubt people can make better at home but I did say without the faff - parboiling, bashing about, dipping in batter or whatever else people do.
