Peter Pedant , //none of the kindertransport were refugees let along Jewish refugees because in 1939 they came here instead of a safe country like er Poland or France .//

Just don't go there!! I'll say to you what I said to Mikey on another thread when he said something similarly thoughtless. The migrants coming here are not fleeing for their lives. Comparing them in any way to the Jewish children who fled horrendous persecution is a gross insult to those children and it’s a gross insult to the intelligence of all who are reading your claptrap.

Some of you people really need to get a grip and acknowledge reality.
That's " you people " told. :-)
And some of you need to stop lumping all refugees in the same boat.....
jackthehat, not me, but that's precisely what you and the rest of those who are talking about 'the milk of human' kindness are doing.
Would some of those boats be the ones that sank killing all on board, to be washed up on shore ?
... the occupants of which were, in the main, economic migrants?
Naomi - it appears that you are angry because people are not 'getting a grip' on what you perceive to be reality.

That is just your view, you can't make other people share it if they exercise their right to see things differently.
No, *we* aren't.
*We* make the case that some of these refugees (the ones coming directly from the Syrian/Jordanian camps) are very different from the (mainly) young African men seen at Calais...

But all *we* hear in response are cries about the sky falling in if a few of them are to be allowed to take up residence in an empty CoE-owned property.
^Oh good grief! I'm going to cook supper.
^That was to andy-hughes.

jackthehat, those coming from camps are not fleeing for their lives.

Got to go.
So it appears we are being asked to believe all refugees are in face economic migrants ?
Why are you including me in your domestic arrangements?

I'm not really interested - but if you have something pertinent to the discussion, then I will be delighted to have a look at that.

But I thought we were talking about the refugees who had come in through the programme eddie mentioned, divebuddy, not immigrants in general nor the specific asylum seekers group

" Good news- better than them having to wander the streets or live among unwelcoming locals. Hopefully it will help them settle in. It's good to see the church acting in a positive, caring way- it may inspire others to think how they could help too."

untill they get the numbers up and turn against the churches and the people, turn the churches to mosques and take the heads from the vicars.
Read the thread DD - it's not happening Offchurch village is safe.
I know you aren't, divebuddy, but i thought we were
