1/ Anyone who has poste here for any length of time would know that AH was being sarcastic and possibly ironic with posting this headline. 2/ TBH AOG it would not surprise me at all if you asked for those types of pictures!

gness - actually, the queue has had quite a culling recently -

Ladies like Cara are out of sight, and therefore out of mind, as befits such a shallow appreciation as I have, and others seem to have drifted away in a similar manner.

You of course, remain constant as the Northern Star ..... xx
yes Andy I know about forums and the various characters that inhabit them. I was pulling your leg just a tad xx
a-h @ 13:23 : //The question was ironic - given the long list of images of Ms. Lowe. What is prurient about asking for pictures - ironically, as I did - or not?//

@ 13:37 : //I think anyone who knows me at all - which certainly includes your god self - on here knows that I am many many things, but prurient is certainly not one of them!//

So sorry, I was off erm...oh, doing anything else... Ah, the famous "irony klaxon" went off & I missed it, doh! Funny how often that's trotted out on here when someone's "point is missed", it's a very handy device. I'm sorry but I see your "Phwoooar!" attitude towards certain famous women as frankly - I'll be polite - off-putting.

Your explanation of the discovery of a picture of Ms Lowe & your subsequent search for more of the same was very entertaining however, thank you. :-)

I maintain that this thread is unseemly at best & prurient at worst, IMO you should know better. Now, to this Topic - you didn't mention why you thought it a suitable place for this thread? Chatterbank possibly, though nowhere at all would've been the better choice quite frankly, given your apparent uninterest in the subject you've chosen.

Now, I've got a crossword to do that I missed from the other day, have fun :-)

We usually get by with a little patient explanation - unless someone is simply deliberately missing the point in order to pick a fight,. then they get what's coming.

How could you possibly know whether a poster is deliberately missing the point?

''then they get what's coming. ''

Could mean anything, could be a threat.
Can't we all be friends in 2017?

Lie-In King - //Funny how often that's trotted out on here when someone's "point is missed", it's a very handy device. //

I don't 'trot it out' - I point out when irony is missed, nothing more or less, I certainly don't use it as a back-up defence if I am caught out either being mistaken, or on any other occasion. And I am certainly secure enough in my posts not to hide behind an irony miss as a retrospective get-out-of-jail option!

//I'm sorry but I see your "Phwoooar!" attitude towards certain famous women as frankly - I'll be polite - off-putting. //

I am sorry you feel like that - I can argue that it is entirely tongue-in-cheek - delivered from the safe position of a granddad with no hair who harbours less that no illusions about his attraction to attractive famous women. Check out gness's replies - she gets it.

// Your explanation of the discovery of a picture of Ms Lowe & your subsequent search for more of the same was very entertaining however, thank you. :-) // You are most welcome.

//I maintain that this thread is unseemly at best & prurient at worst, IMO you should know better. //

I maintain that is was offered in a humorous and light-hearted manner, and if it missed its mark and offended you, or anyone else, then please accept my genuine apologies, I am not in the business of consciously upsetting anyone who does not deserve it.

//Now, to this Topic - you didn't mention why you thought it a suitable place for this thread? Chatterbank possibly, though nowhere at all would've been the better choice quite frankly, given your apparent uninterest in the subject you've chosen. //

The item was on the Daily Mail's website, and despite its utter failure in its web sidebar (Now that is the definition or prurient!) it is supposed to be a newspaper, so comments on it's content are pertinent to a News section.

// Now, I've got a crossword to do that I missed from the other day, have fun :-) //

You too.

Talbot - // How could you possibly know whether a poster is deliberately missing the point? //

Easy - they post confirmation immediately, often, but not always, prefacing their misunderstanding with the preface "So ..."

// ''then they get what's coming. ''

Could mean anything, could be a threat. //

Oh for heaven sake behave, I am not going to begin to engage with nonsense like that!
Question Author
Bazile - //Can't we all be friends in 2017?

Be friends? Absolutely!

Leave nonsense unchallenged - sorry, no, that would break a sixteen -year habit!
andy, your replies are unbelievable.

''then they get what's coming. ''

What does that mean?
Question Author
Talbot - from my response at 16:01 - //Oh for heaven sake behave, I am not going to begin to engage with nonsense like that! //

It seems you missed it.
All I have done is ask what

''then they get what's coming. ''

means
Do I have to read all this to understand where this thread went tits up?
-- answer removed --
It started with the OP Prudie ;)
//delivered from the safe position of a granddad with no hair who harbours less that no illusions about his attraction to attractive famous women.//

as in (I assume), "if I was 20 years younger....... she still wouldn't entertain me".
Question Author
Talbot - //All I have done is ask what

''then they get what's coming. ''

means //

What do you think it means? A punch in the mouth, tyres slashed, burning paper through the letter box ...

It means a written response on the thread in question, nothing more 'threatening' than that.

Now, if you are done trying to pick a fight, can we leave it there?

Indeed - I'd still be a bald granddad then!!! LOL!

I am often criticised for my choice of headline, and since yours stated this:

/// Has Anyone Got Any Pictures Of Daisy Lowe In A Bikini? ///

Is it any wonder you took so much flack?

Why can't you be noble enough to admit you chose the wrong headline instead of coming up with such feeble excuses as "The question was ironic", "A little light humour on the first day back at work" and "I know that irony is difficult to convey in print" etc?

I wonder what kind of response I would received if I posted the headline :

"Has Anyone Got Any Pictures Of Adolph Hitler in uniform"?

\\\AH . obviously your post
has gone over the heads of DM readers..!!!!!!!.it happens\\\
'Talbot'
//In your own words, anne ... please explain how//

I've only popped back to see if Talbot got a response,
but as expected it 's not happened.
