Not necessaily Danny. As TTT has pointed out Brexit was party agnostic.

Oddly though it seems to have ripped labour apart more which is highly amusing given the rantings of a certain labour party supporter on here about the Tories being ripped open.
If there was another referendum tomorrow we would vote to remain.

Holding another general election, even if it were possible, would be hugely risky and would not really settle the Brexit issue. Want another popular vote on EU membership? Then you need to hold another referendum.
The problem at the moment with the idea of eventually holding a second referendum on the result of the negotiations would be: what would the alternative be?
No it's not fair, it was supposed to be 7-4 wasn't it?!

Joking apart, I see Nicola Sturgeon has been at it again. To focus on that word 'respect' again, she states 'until the Scottish people are taken seriously', and is in effect disrespecting the court as she is still going to put a vote to Holyrood about A50.
//If there was another referendum tomorrow we would vote to remain. //

Really? Project fear has been totally trashed and countries are lining up to do business.

Personally I would not put money on anything any more.
Ms Sturgeon can put A50 to the vote in Holyrood all she likes. but the judges unanimously determined that the foreign affairs are reserved to the UK government, who thus has no mandate to take any notice of a vote in any of the devolved assemblies.
Correct Mushy, it's just Sturgeon's attitude that bugs me.
Brexit was party agnostic.

it wasn't constituency-agnostic, though. MPs should be free to reflect the views of their own voters.
Danny: "TTT are you saying that tabling a raft of amendments will not delay the triggering of Article 50? " - of course not they will take time but weeks not years. I suggest you look up hoe they are processed between the houses, lookup "horse trading", "ping, pong" and most crucial of all "relevance".
"TTT I am pretty sure that an election would give the Conservatives a larger majority. " - But the Tories are not all brexit by any means and Labour are not all remainers by any means, so it proves nothing. This is cross party and general election is almost impossible at this stage.
ich:"If there was another referendum tomorrow we would vote to remain." - and you base that on......?
Does this ruling also render the Supreme Court as 'enemies of the people'?
TTT...a lot of the people who would have voted remain are now 18 and registered to vote.
So much for bringing back power to The UK Parliament rather than Brussels.

All you who had that battle cry 8 months ago and are now bemoaning Parliament having a say, are a bunch of hypocrites.
unlike a politician, I am happy to give a clear answer to that vortex. Yes they are just as treacherous as the first lot and that awful attention seeking harridan.
cobblers gromit, the people are supreme they have spoken, end of. All the SGB tactics of trying to thwart democracy are just another hurdle we must clear to achieve freedom from tyranny. Are you so desperate to be controlled by a foreign power that you are prepared to deny the democratic will of the majority?
Over a million turned 18 since the referendum then? And all Bremainers?
TTT if a second referendum were called and the outcome was to remain, would you respect the democratic wish?

Now look what's happened, what do you think of this mikey, with reference to your 09:14 Mon 16th Jan 2017 post?

TCL:no because the whole thing would not be a referendum anymore, it would be no more than a device to thwart the original vote. If Remain had won in the first place I would have respected it but if it becomes a neverendum then the properties of the situation are not the same, it would basically be a trick to cheat democracy. I will resist with every sinew in my body any weasel miserbale cheating, welching lickspittle, popinjay attempts to cheat us out of the result. Is that clear enough for you?
THE CORBYLOON

Well I would not given what I have seen from bremoaners.
The whole thing's a bloody farce !!
