Islay - "It should be considered that those that rejoice in the death of these terrorist are just as bad as the terrorists they detest!"
That is just about the stupidest thing I've ever read.
Surely even the slowest of people would recognize that you simply cannot compare people who are glad at the death of terrorists with terrorists.
Bonkers.

Deskdiary - //Surely even the slowest of people would recognize that you simply cannot compare people who are glad at the death of terrorists with terrorists. //
Except, on one level - you can.
That level is where terrorists rejoice in the violent deaths of other people, and we as Westerners, rejoice in the deaths of terrorists.
The common ground is that it is barbaric to rejoice in the violent death of any other human being. It can be expected from terrorists, they are barbaric, but we should never lower ourselves to their level in terms of thinking that someone dying violently is something to be happy about.
The argument that they 'deserve it' is not the point here - the point is that by rejoicing like a terrorist, you are dehumanising yourself like a terrorist, who believes that violent death is a good thing.
Clearly, it is not.
