AOG, I was on benefits when my son was a baby. I didn't have a massive telly, didn't smoke or drink or get tattoos. I struggled to afford maternity pads after I'd given birth.
Benefits have to stretch a long way. It's not just food and sanitary ware that need to be paid for.
