Staff under age are also not allowed to serve alcohol.
It does seem a bit odd, but as mamya says, I'd tend to move to another till and get on with my life :-)
I don't think it will lead to a breakdown in civilisation.
In N Ireland, selected tills in supermarkets do not serve alcohol - I've never worked out why that is (haven't we had this topic before? I remember saying exactly the same thing another time)

Some posts have suggested she is not fulfilling the terms of the role and should be sacked.
If she is refusing to carry out part of the agreed role then I'm sure they can got through the process and then dismiss her.
If it was agreed during the process, however, that her duties could be restricted for whatever reason then thats a different kettle of fish - it's a business decison Aldi made.
Does anyone know whether she refused post acceptance or pre acceptance?

Talbot- I think they probably agreed to it, but I'm not sure if it was pre-interview/offer or after. So if they agreed it seems unlikley they would do what some now want which is to sack her, yet some strangely do call for that which seems odd and not thought through

Would a supervisor not be responsible for saying when tills should be opened and who should be on them? If no, then whoever the appropriate person was, they would have asked or telt the employee to leave the till.
