I still maintain the McCanns were negligent and ought to have faced some kind of charge, neatly sidestepped by class and social standing..however they have suffered and will continue to suffer terrible guilt..rightly so..but little is to be gained by disecting it all over and over..
The McCann's made a dreadful mistake, a mistake that is going to haunt them for the rest of their lives - the very strong likelihood is that they will never see their daughter again.
But...
I don't think they were negligent - and as for the more moronic and utterly absurd suggestions they they either drugged her (which is stupid enough) or the weapons grade stupidity of saying they sold her...the mind just boggles as to how these leaps of non-thinking are made.
