Spicey.....what has "the left" got to be do with this ?

Most people don't like Trump, so do you really expect this award ceremony to be stuffed full of the KKK, American Nazi Party, etc ?
what's in the video? Can't see it at work.
Omg, I don't know where to start after watching that. Does Trump own Fox News?
Some had a platform , some used it to bash Trump , its democratic .
TTT....its a highly edited precis of the Emmys, lasting 03:35 mins, of a ceremony that must have lasted for hours. People are not being very nice to your mate Trump.....so whats new ?
Oh, regarding the OP, no, the left hasn't lost the plot. The plot went missing when Trump was elected.
I'm afraid I find these Political attacks by actors/actresses at award ceremonies, distasteful and they usual involve attacks on Capitalism.
It does however make for laughter and applause, but little else.

They're so brave, standing up and attacking someone the whole crowd hates. ;)
Spicey...perhaps you should be wondering why the "whole crowd" hates Trump ?

Anne has it right....its democratic to disagree, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
the right on brigade hate trump, the American people like him enough to make him president!

Didn't Trump make some nasty comments about Hollywood on the campaign trail or did I imagine it?
If he did, I think this is their way of getting their own back.
(which isn't working)
This is the first year I'm aware of when actors have railed against the political leaders of the day. It's definitely never happened before, they're always usually such quiet people.

As was borne out by the result of the election, obviously!
Did I miss something?
Yes, you missed the fact that Hillary won the popular vote by 2.8 million -- although the Electoral College is the deciding factor, and Trump's votes were more usefully organised to allow him to win key states.
She won the popular vote.
Thanks, Jim :)
So she won the vote that didn't really count for anything?

That's all right then! Must have given her a nice warm glow inside if nothing else.

I won the pub quiz again last week, doesn't mean I'm the font of all knowledge but never mind!
"...its democratic to disagree, and I wouldn't want it any other way."

It certainly is, Mikey. But there are times and places to voice your disagreement. Apart from marching up and down the streets (thus hindering people trying to go about their business) I would put using the platform at a prize-giving ceremony where Thespians feel the need to dole out gongs to each other (and which some people inexplicably feel the need to watch) at the top of the list of unsuitable venues.

Yeah jim, know what you mean. They used to really rip into O'Barmy.
(cue frantic internet search to find actors criticising Barry)
