andy-hughes, I wouldn’t have thought it that difficult for you but clearly it is … so ….I haven’t appointed myself to speak for anyone, and haven't said that, but ‘we’ as a society have a problem with gangs of Muslim men who sexually abuse young non-Muslim girls … and so (again) back to my question. Would you like ‘us’ as a society to ignore the fact that the abusers are Muslim?

No, I don't expect society to ignore the fact that the majority of these men are Muslim, but I do expect society to maintain a sense of proportion.

That would be being able to accept that being Muslim does not make them behave the way they do - but twisting their religious teachings into a belief system that allows them to abuse women without a scintilla of guilt.

You know as well as I do that the Muslim faith does not instruct abuse, any more than the Bible encourages priests to be paedophiles.

We are dealing with people who take a religious tract and use it for their own ends - that does not make them good Muslims.
