You are fundamentally missing the point with questions such as this, Zacs. It's not what the EU does that is good, or what it does that it does that is bad. It's the fact that it has the power to do them. There are some good things it has done (mobile roaming fee abolition, "open skies"); there are some awful things that it has done (the euro, Schengen). Maastricht set the scene for a federal Europe. The Lisbon Treaty provided for the supremacy of EU law over UK law (enforced by the ECJ). No authority (especially an unelected one) should have supremacy over UK law, enacted by the UK Parliament. That's it in a nutshell.

One can easily mock personal affects from the EU as being unimportant but the actual issue is nationwide interference from the EU. Even if exiting changed nothing on a personal level it' would still be vital to reclaim sovereignty and control our own destiny. It's a must-have and sufficient by itself. So searching for personal affects isn't useful.

Getting rid of the unelected foreign elite that impose their vision on us.
Returning control to British representatives who can be removed by election.
(Of course, we still have the civil service to try to keep in check; but nothing's perfect.)

1. By saying the above you are implying you agree that the supremacy of the EU MPs is above UK MPs. That my dear Zac is where the problem lies. Not only do we want our corrupt MPs to have supremacy we want the ability to get rid of them.
2. EU MPs have little power and can't do anything. It is the unelected EU commission that has the power and we have no mechanism to get rid of them.

It's you that can't see the wood for the trees because you are inside the forest. And for someone who infers leavers are some how less intelligent than yourself or unable to fathom the complexities of this issue you are showing signs of

I think Zac is a perfect example of why Remainers will fight to the bitter end and beyond. Even when presented with unequivocal evidence they are blindnto the problem or reason.
