I began to pick out a few phrases for demonstratio n. But gave up in the end as just about the entire article sums up quite succinctly the morass and anti- democratic cess pit that the EU is. But it doesn't matter what you say or what proof you provide. There are those who believe that the UK cannot survive unless it subscribes to this corrupt organisation whose...

ZM: "Can any leave voter cite 3 (just 3) examples of how the EU has affected them personally?" - many things but that's not the point, I voted leave for the good of the nation not for selfish reasons. Now ZM can you name 3 things that the EU has improved? One of the reasons you lost was because of project fear, you and co told us how our world would disolve if we left but no one told us of any good reasons to stay.
So we had big problems with the EU but no one can give me 3 reasons why they voted leave or how those problems affected them in daily life. We were / are one of the most prosperous nations in the world. I could / can see no earthly reason why anyone should want to upset that Apple cart or how leaving will benefit us. practically.
The original link tells me, in rather dramatic fashion, that someone new has become leader of the EU. Can any leave voters explain how this will affect their daily lives (or how the Spitzenkandidat system will)?
May I remind you, we didn’t vote for our present PM so an analogy with unelected leaders is quite apt. Ironically, we ended up with this mealy mouthed spineless woman as a result of the leave vote being successful. So much for democracy, eh!

0ne can not know how such corrupt practice will affect us in the future, but we know it is wrong, it's something else imposed on us, and must not be tolerated.
The slave need not answer questions about how a change of owner would affect them. They just need to know that they ought not be in such a position.

We don't need to vote for a PM. We never have done. But that's less important because each constituency votes for their own representative. The MPs tend to be grouped into parties (unfortunately) and select leaders; the monach (unfortunately) then chooses the one most likely to be able to run a government and thus to be first among equals. But all the eligible representatives were still chosen by the public.
Jackdaw33: Er, we did vote for May.
Is that the knowledge level of the average leave voter? Jesus. I think you were a teacher as well, weren’t you? Quite frightening.

Theresa May .....elected MP to represent Maidenhead in a democratic poll( a vote by the electorate) and subsequently chosen to be PM by her peers.
Selmayr..........never stood for office in a poll conducted amongst the public.....subsequently siezes power by asserting influence and dominance over a sot who himself wormed his way into a position of power.

Let’s get this straight before we move on. May was elected leader by her own party as a direct result of the leave vote. She then had the brilliant idea of calling a general election, which she nearly lost. At no point was there a situation where the general populace had the opportunity to vote in a conservative government with a leader who had campaigned for the party, leading up to an election. Not one which has been thrust upon us and certainly not when such a delicate situation as Brexit needed to be talked through. I appreciate an unelected leader is not unusual but we usually have a situation where the PM has at least been considered and who’s strengths and weaknesses influenced a general election.
The fact we’re being ‘led’ (I use the word cautiously.....pushed may be more appropriate) by this unelected, unqualified woman along the Brexit path, and that this is accepted by leave voters is staggering. Especially when a post all about an unelected EU leader brings forth bowls of condemnation. I find it all both highly ironic and hypocritical.
