I agree, making the Burka compulsory would stop all these misogynistic gestures irrelevant so that one wouldn't be able to see or investigate the feminine attractiveness. Good idea.
If men are not capable of controlling their urg to control, force, subjugate, attack, sexually assault or rape women then it is men that need to wear something that stops them doing it. It is not for women to cover up because of men’s inability to control themselves.
However I do think women don’t always protect themselves adequately from preditory and opportunistic men.
If some don't care to wear the burka, perhaps modern woman should refrain from putting all their goods out on display, in their attempt to stop the wolf whistling?
///If some don't care to wear the burka, perhaps modern woman should refrain from putting all their goods out on display, in their attempt to stop the wolf whistling? ///
Or perhaps men could learn to control themselves....?
//perhaps modern woman should refrain from putting all their goods out on display//
So you are saying that men can take what they want because it is on show. Did you mother never slap your hand for touching something that didn't below to you? If not perhaps she should of.
As an aside, I wonder when all those people and organizations advocating gender-neutrality in every-day language are going to start objecting to the now-a-days over-used word 'misogyny'...It's hardly gender-neutral isn't it?:)
