Yes I know Trump said it, but please don't turn this into yet another anti-Trump thread, please address it on the fact that if one is a man (no matter of what nationality) one can be deemed guilty until proven innocent.

Peter Pedant says he's guilty. That's that then.
I'd keep mum about the agenda if I were you, Spicerack. Or have people so quickly forgotten that, in the last year of Obama's term, the Republican Senators refused even to consider his nominee for the SC vacancy, Merrick Garland? They didn't even have an excuse for it -- it was literally, and unashamedly, an excuse to stick two fingers up to Obama, with no other reason offered.

If Democrats are up to the same tricks, then Republicans haven't a leg to stand on if they complain.
// There's no law against drinking beer, there isn't even a law against being drunk. // yikes there is - they are calle licensing laws ( jesus ) and you cant drink until you are X years old. ( X varies a bit)

I don't know if there's a law against lying to ruin a man's life. If there isn't, there should be. - sozza second amendment and if it isnt that then it should be
( free speech - not right to bear arms - think of a number under 22)

really some of these one liners are so duuuuh
//I dont think he should be a supreme court justice and I dont mind how they get him out ( or er not in) ( or on)//

And there you have it.
//Peter Pedant says he's guilty. That's that then.//
no we arent reading the post before coming out with the whizzy one liners

no case - no innocent - no charges no nothing - which part of No does Nigh er deny ?

Look we have been thro this with saville. I cant just cant remember if the usual suspects were 'hang him' or 'acquit him'
but I DO ask them to be consistent.....
//I dont think he should be a supreme court justice and I dont mind how they get him out ( or er not in) ( or on)//

= I dont think he should be a supreme court judge

NOT anything else - we can and do read dont we ?
Pity you don't restrict your ramblings to one-liners, PP. They might make just a little sense.
naomi et al ...just a reminder of what Ed said recently "play the ball not the man"
//Why scrap around looking for a reason -- any reason -- to not take the allegation seriously?//

There's no scraping about it. She's an avid, pussy-hat wearing anti-Trumper. We don't have to look too far to see what TDS does to people.
She can't remember when it happened.
She can't remember where it happened.
She can't remember how she got there or got home.
She can't remember how many people were there.
She can remember, after regression therapy, Kavanaugh was there, Judge was there, her best friend was there.
Trouble is, for you and her, all three deny being there.
To suggest people are trying to ruin her life is laughable.
Woofgang, not sure it's your place to remind anyone of anything, but since your at it remind Peter Pedant who's at it daily.
//Naomi, I pointed out that the "whisper" was first made in 2012, and then again a few years later, long before Kavanaugh ever came up for SC nomination, let alone Trump being president.//

Correct Jim. The revelations came to light whilst Ford was undergoing "therapy" ( she is a therapist) with a fellow left wing "colleague" after being found out comitting extra marital relations and when she was in meltdown. Kavanagh was not mentioned in the original memory recovery session but the events of decades ago were used as an excuse for her indiscretion. Kavanagh was only trotted out after his nomination to the Supreme Court. Even then not for weeks until it could cause maximum damage to the vote and due process. As one therapist said to the other "Thanks for the false memory".
^Interesting.
I think we need to be told what happened to that "blue dress".
Wolfgang, I think we must be about the same age I started work in the 70s and in an office where the male sales executives could get away with murder. Groping was an everyday occurrence but this stopped when a new female manager took over the running of the admin staff. It only took one member of staff to be threatened with dismissal by a more senior manager for things to improve almost overnight. Moving from there to the transport industry proper I was often the only female in the workplace. After an initial flurry of suggestions I was treated with a great deal of respect with the lead being taken by a few older gentlemen who deserved the name. When younger female staff joined the team I always stressed they must not accept any behaviour they felt made them uncomfortable. It was often a case of an early challenge solving the problem before it became established. I know many women accepted appalling treatment and still do but i do think we have to take responsibility for leading the change without alienating the men who cross our paths.

I also object to the idea.. he's a man, lad, etc he can't control his urges. Rubbish, unless he has a mental health problem of course they can.
For those of you who have been keeping up, my live link informs me that...…...

American Bar Association calls for delay:

That is a delay in confirmation and to allow the FBI to conduct investigations.
All I can say to you "ladies" out there is keep a diary or record of where and when and with whom your sons and grandsons spend their "leisure" time. Because this me too tactic of making accusations whether true or false is truly out of Pandora's box.(unfortunate word in the context)
Which Trump is attempting to limit...
I've yet to see a single accusation be accepted unequivocally on AnswerBank.
There always appears to be someone crying "foul" in one way, or another....
jackthehat, //I've yet to see a single accusation be accepted unequivocally on AnswerBank. //

Without verifiable evidence why would anyone accept any accusation unequivocally? People have been known to lie.
