Remainers absolutely do not want the UK to be "sad and pathetic". Quite the opposite.
One thing for sure, I will never ever vote again, what is the point.
Apparently it's not even clear that the government has the power to postpone the vote unilaterally, and may need Parliament to approve that the vote be pulled (for tomorrow at least).

There is going to be a *** up in a brewery instead.
Ir's about time we got rid of this "Strong and Stable" Government who dragged us into this whole mess in the first place and then worsened it by prevarication and negligence. All done for personal gain, sod the Country.
Jim //may need Parliament to approve//
She just does as she pleases.

Hard to know how to respond to Sparkly's last, but I'm not sure it's the right reaction. You've tried to tell Parliament what to do, but Parliament doesn't have the MPs with a proper or feasible plan for implementing it. So the lesson is to vote *more*, but for MPs who would support your views more enthusiastically next time.

This means that if you want the UK to leave the EU, then vote for UKIP (or Farage's equivalent party), rather than give up now. It may take a while, but when it happens it will be led by the right people, from your point of view at least.
Danny -- she can try to, but that's the point: she can't. She says as she pleases, certainly.
Jim, she announced the postponement without consulting parliament which I suppose she will now do at 3.30pm.
It could I believe be up to the Speaker. He may agree to a postponement or disagree or I suppose call a vote on whether there should be a vote.
I thought we’d had our dose of pantomime at Aladdin last week ...
She is a true Conservative , she knows if the vote went ahead it would split the Con Party, so she is thinking of the party Not the Country,
Her plan is to postpone and hope that will not only cick the can down the road, but MPs will accept it so that they can have a Christmas break without having to work.
Others (the good guys) have a different view,

It's been a looooong game but we're finally getting to the preferred option. :-)
Douglas, preferred by who?
douglas which is??
I think it's whom.

Preferred by parliamentarians, but more importantly a growing percentage of the public, since the half baked lies and empty promises of the plotters have long since been exposed for what they always were. Garbage.
I see so the preferred are the minority remainers. You have a twisted view of democracy.
If history shows us anything, Danny, it's that democracy is an illusion.

Best not to pin any hopes on the will of the people and fair play.

There will be no Brexit.
I'm with SK at 14:28, unfortunately.
problems with northern Ireland are being cited for the postponement.....
