Muslim parents will disagree, viewing homosexuality as a sin (just as, until quite recently, most Christains did).
To their credit (now that I've compared the two groups) Muslims are more flexible than Christians: while they frown on homosexuality, and believe strongly in the one daddy, they think children may well benefit from having the loving support of two or more mummies.

I'm enjoying this one. We are seeing just one of the many contradictions of multiculturalism. The two moralities are incompatible and can't be accommodated except by having a segregated education system.
Wonder who's going to win. I know of only two examples to date. In one very similar case in Bristol "offensive" material advocating gay relationships was withdrawn after protests by parents (not all Muslim). In another different case - Luton, I believe - the Muslim community blocked the licence for an "adult-themed" gay club up the road from one of the local mosques. So the score so far is Muslims 2: Marxists 0.

You're factually wrong, Tora. They weren't being taught about sex.
The reasons it's 'relevant' are:
- At least some of the kids will be non-heterosexual (this is something you feel from a very young age even if you don't have the language to express it). It's important that those children understand there isn't anything wrong with them - doubly so if that's not a message they are not likely to get at home.
- Even if the above doesn't apply (which it won't in the majority of cases), some children will still have questions about it - especially if they are bright or observant. Children are inevitably exposed to gay relationships simply by existing in the modern world. This is a direct consequence of allowing gay people to exist equally with straight people. It makes no sense to sweep those questions under the carpet or ignore them, or lie, but to explain in an age-appropriate way.

kromo: " It makes no sense to sweep those questions under the carpet or ignore them, or lie, but to explain in an age-appropriate way." - no one is ignoring them. There is no need for these subjects to be brought up at such an early age. If a kid asks a question answer it but no need to set about force feeding them information that most would not have even considered they needed to know. This is that usual Liberal tendency to sexualise everything ASAP. That's why we have poor confused kids thinking they need a sex change egged on by TROB attention seeking parents when they could not possibly comprehend the mixed mess of hormones at puberty. Leave the kids alone.
Can I ask those that agree with the parents...at what age would you be happy for kids to be educated on LGBT lifestyles?
Is there an actual lesson on LGBT issues or does the teacher just include talking about it during other lessons? (I have never heard of LGBT lessons)
'undermining parental rights and aggressively promoting homosexuality'.
Have they asked to stand in during this aggresive indoctrination?

Kromo, isn't it possible that these kind of initiatives are 'solving' problems that never existed
The few people I've met who I've known to be gay seemed perfectly happy and well adjusted. And they were raised in an era without these 'enlightenments'.
I've read a few autobiographies by gay people and they all seemed to enjoy that feeling of otherness, of being different, being outsiders.
In fact, one could say all these modern educational schemes are doing more harm than good. There's been a 75% increase in students registering mental health problems.....in the last 4 years. Safe spaces, trigger warnings. Pathetic, isn't it.
