If after 2 years of his 25 years he screams and hollers for his mum and shouts he can't take it anymore. Incarceration is literally driving him stir crazy and he self harms etc etc. Is that not a form of torture that so many are against on this thread? This tortured tormented soul is going nuts. A quick painless death is no torture, will put him out of his misery and costs only the hangman's fee (Rope and scaffold provided ex VAT).

The two are not mutually exclusive, a murder can be carried out as retribution, but that does not in itself stop the act being a murder.

If it's legal, it isn't a crime, Andy... I have to agree with Naomi here. No need for torture and revenge, just get rid. I never used to agree with capital punishment, but in a few certain cases, it does seem the only civilised thing to do.

It has been reported that he is a psychopath (BBC Scotland News @ 1.30) whose psychopathic tendencies weren't recognised in him as a child.
It may be possible that he may be moved to Carstairs (if that is still in existence as a Secure Mental what-not).
