///Jim //A general election is now inevitable//
Only if Boris loses today's vote.///

Which is a given. But also only if two-thirds of the House allows it. Which is not.
Very true NJ. An interesting day ahead. What happens if Boris doesn't get an election? He has already stated that he won't seek an extension.
twopee: "because it is the equivalent of marching up to Junker or Tusk
and putting a knife to your own throat and shouting
'I'll cut ! Honest, I will cut my own throat unless you do what I want!" - err no, flawed analogy as usual, how about both our heads under the guillotine? unless you think no deal does not effect the EUSSR?
Boris Quoting Churchhill yesterday" We will never ever Surrender "
Corbyn replied " Never Knew we were at War.PMSL.

If we do have an election, the voting papers should tell us if the candidates are anti-Brexit or pro Brexit.

Because it now seems that we can no longer trust our politicians to act on behalf of those who put them in power.
I wonder how the late Winston would feel about his grandson being chucked out of the Conservative party?

A bit like the EU whom were trying to leave, you mean?
‘I wonder how the late Winston would feel about his grandson being chucked out of the Conservative party?’

He’s had the Whip removed. He hasn’t been chucked out.
Boris will do a deal with Lord Nigel of Farage, Brexit party will only stand in seats with a VBQC MP.

If you have the whip removed doesn't that mean you are now an independent MP, i.e. no longer in the party ?
Yesterday saw one Labour MP vote with the Noes...John Mann.

Who knows, perhaps his action will prompt others to vote against taking No Deal off the table.

The following lists how all MPs voted yesterday and clicking any photograph will give a full run-down of the person's Parliamentary career.

Hans.
Labour's Kate Hoey also voted against the motion.
My apologies Jim 360 for having overlooked the fact that, yesterday at 22.38hrs, you gave the same link as I have.

Thanks Corbyloon...for having drawn my attention to Kate Hoey.

Correct O_G....Expelled from the party, but can remain in the House as an Independent MP.

Hans.
The Court of Session has just ruled the prorogation is legal.
Excellent News.

Surely even if he won today (which he won't), it's still inevitable in the long run. Johnson has a working majority of -43, and that assumes that the DUP will stay onside. No Government can sustain that for long.

Bloody lefty-liberal judges, eh. :/
