... would like to find some excuse for this second breach of lockdown - after he was well and back at work - and when (presumably) the 'childcare' emergency was no longer valid reason?

No surprise Gove is supporting Cummings.

It was Gove who went off sick self diagnosing he had the virus, and was next seen in his constituency, jogging in the park, when he was supposed to be self-isolating.

They are all in it together - taking the piz of us all.
What surprises me most is the revelation that he is married. Someone married him and must have had sex with him (eeeuw) as they have a child.
am I the only one posting on Dom? on this page

1300 news coming up - one commentator has said that a lot of "political capital" - oo er numbers again - has been expended on Domz defence,
(and yet he will rise again)
it boils down to - whether Dom has given advice valued by the present government

naomi - // AH, Peter Pedant's antics do transgress Site Rules. //

Obviously we disagree - but since I don't need any advice from you about Moderating, and you feel I am not doing my job, do feel free to avail yourself of the Reporting facility.

Oh, and if you want me to mind my own business, try the courtesy of saying 'please' - I'm not in your Reception Class either.
Naomi, perhaps if you quoted the rule that PP has broken?
oh some posts au point - de Dom
Doom was dobbed in by spiteful neighbours telling stories and porkies listened to enthusiastically by those in authority- - - (boo!)

they heard- they said - ABBA in the back garden of Dom pere
and knew the old man was NOT a fan. - The police were called - jesus sounds like an over raction to me but the rest is history
Gromit - // No surprise Gove is supporting Cummings. //

Gove will support Boris - to keep his job.
woofgang, I have - to the editor.

Good for you!

We're back on the Op now by the way ...
anneasquith, yes he does like any other ABer have the right to post. What he doesn't have the right to do is hound anyone continually. That is harassment - and that if AH isn't aware - contravenes Site Rules.
Thanks Corby.

I am aware, and if I see what I perceive as 'hounding' I will act appropriately.

In the case of AB'ers who give as good as they get, and more besides, I am less inclined to see exchanges as 'hounding'.

And we are back on Mr Cummings now - thank you.
Naomi, oh please, pull your big girl pants up and get back to arguing with AH .( again )
AH,
Gove and Cummings are big buddies. It was Gove who brought Cummings into Westminster when Gove was in charge at Education, and he employed Cummings as an aide.

I like the New Stateman’s take on the Cummings/Johnson relationship.

// [Cummings] has been the driving force behind an essentially idle prime minister, his eyes and ears, his enforcer, his problem solver, his helmsman. He is the animating spirit of Johnson’s government. Without him, the Prime Minister would be like a dummy without its ventriloquist, a puppet without its puppeteer. //

We're trying to get this thread back on track - so please don't encourage any more histrionics.

Thanks.

That's pretty strong - and obviously it can only be the paper's perception. Only Messrs. Johnson and Cummings know what their relationship actually is.
er - - - about Dom - I am on the right thread innit?
as uninteresting as it must seem
compared to other - - pressing issues

at this very moment readsers: Grant Shapps on tee vee with Andrew Marr - 'well ' says And (Marr that is please please!) " he has broken The Rules, hasnt he?"
and Grant is adamant that Dom has NOT broken the rules

This is Life imitating Art - anyway still leading.

DOm can step down and still be an eminence grise cant he? - Marcia Falkander (1964-74) never went around saying - "I am not really Harold Wilson;s secretary - if you want a decision you come to ME !" - (*)

(*) o god someone is gonna complain this is completely off the point as they dont know who Harold Wilson is or was
Naomi never hounds me about as has as has has as has she forgot :0)
Andrew ( long name) you and I agree dont we?
on Dom that is?

anyway both have made babies - so it cant really be like THAT -
can it? = Eton and Oxford, well you never know ....
Peter - // Andrew ( long name) you and I agree dont we?
on Dom that is? //

My name is Andy, thank you.

I have no idea if we agree, I stopped reading your incomprehensible posts long ago - I just see my misspelled name occasionally and ask you not to use it - other than that I ignore you.
