Who's In Favour Of Mandatory Face Coverings?
Looks like we'll have no option after 24 July - or is this the time for civil disobedience?

I will be wearing one in shops...as I have done for a couple of months. I have, hopefully, avoided getting ill from the virus and would like to continue to do so. If people wear their masks indoors then they are less likely to spread the disease further. That is not rocket science because even I can understand it. I do find this governments inability to set rules at appropriate times and stick to them very very disappointing
I've been wearing a face covering/mask in shops for some time, so compulsory doesn't bother me at all. Do I care what others think, not at all! Each to their own, if you don't want to wear one or it 'disresses' you then don't go shopping.
I also 'lip read' because of hearing issues and I've not had anyone shouting and screaming at me, methinks over exagerrated.

bhg; I was merely re-iterating what has been pointed out on several threads; that it is not necessarily face masks we will be forced to wear. Your statement, however, does beg the question, if there are those who prefer masks to hanging scarves around their face, surely they must already be in possession of masks? How else would they know their preference?
