Anyone Having Worked In Retail ( Or Still Does)
Will know how abusive the public can be , the wearing of masks from the 24th is going to make matters worse,
Scenario: man / woman walks into store without one
Assistant asks politely “ please wear a mask”
Customer NO!
What then?
For all I agree with it , it can not be policed

FF, the Spanish have the ever present threat of the armed Guardia Civil who seem to have a more “hands on “ approach than our police force.

Part of the issue will be for retailers to get their own houses in order first.
When all this started, I was appalled at the way the staff at my local supermarket behaved. No social distancing, no following the one system. If the staff themselves do not adhere to it, it makes it more difficult for them to expect anyone else to. A staff member squeezed past Mr BM whilst he was waiting at the pharmacy and when he objected she responded that she had passed behind him so that was OK!
At hospital reception this morning, the receptionist only had her mask over her mouth. I think she might have heard Mr BM's waspish comment though since she popped it back over her nose.

They insisted that a woman who had an outpatient appointment wear a mask even though she kept saying she would have difficulty breathing if she did. I know people going in as inpatients had to wear a mask in reception and public areas and I saw a man in his pyjamas wearing one when he went outside for a fag. (He took it off when he got outside). I don't know about when they are on the wards.
