Appears that these are an acceptable alternative to a lethal bladed weapon. They are sold by a Sikh concern so I imagine they realise the potential difficulties of these daggers being carried in some public places.
An interesting conversation here. It is quite clear that these Sikhs consider it their right to carry a steel blade to defend themselves or others as designated by their religious doctrine. Wood is not good enough to cause harm it would seem!
// I have an issue with anyone walking around with a weapon that can kill many others in seconds.
Why is this such a controversial position?//
because it is allowed by law - specifically - they didnt just forget .....
// a weapon that can kill many others in seconds.//
in 1915 (yup you read right) my leddy grandmother came from India to do war work. and was asked about going around London in such rough times - - she said - I always have my hat pin !
( er that is meant to be the weapon that can kill in seconds)
It's heresy for people to have paper, wood or plastic ones.

I cant find out the number of knife crime with a kirpan - it appears to be a bit like looking at a christian cross - and saying - blimey he can do a bit of damage with that !
Mozz (“I can only see rudeness coming from one direction here”) - a) not rudeness, just taking the p***. b) all started because he couldn’t see a ‘joke’.
