The point about identifying with the celebs who go out to the poorer areas of the world and being able to identify with them..quite well made There is a bigger response if you can create a relationship with potential donors..
Just a thought If the Princess of Wales was still alive and wanted to go they would be booking her on the first plane out.
If rather give money to MSF they don't care who goes where as long as medical help gets to the right places

Dont give to comic relief, never have done and nor do I give to any large charity. As TTT points out the big problem is knowing where your money is going. So I give my cash to organisations I know will deliver without paying huge Director salaries and massive ad campaigns.
Wont be much this year though with no work I'm afraid. Still as some on here seem to think making people unemployed is ok.

I was really surprised a savvy guyanaian ( David Lammy;s wife that is! ) should say "we dont want white saviours but we do want white money" - instead of "give more damn you, and whilst you do, think of your many sins of slavery ! and give a bit more"

not really - just an excuse not to give
Charity commission has accounts
the charity has to give according to its charitable aims
and as a rule of thumb, 10% should not be more than overheads
Harry dear Harry is learning that you cant just collect money and spend it on yourself
