know his brother Neil, worked alongside his sister in law Eleanor, Neil's wife.....very sad although to be honest he kind of sold Scotland down the river became a tax exile in Marbella then Bahamas..although he talked big about Scotland, he rarely visited....afraid money was his first love ! but he will be missed and Neil will be devastated...
he had much to say about Scottish independence etc etc but was not resident and did not contribute in any way financially to the UK let alone Scotland..if he loved his country as much as he made out he would have remained here.... if you don't live in a country ..vote there..or contribute in any way then you really do not have the right to have a voice or use a public platform to make political statements of any kind.... he left these shores many many years ago and rarely returned
//So sad. A gentleman to the last. RIP.//
Shoorly this can't be Sean Connery in this interview then. Could it be Bin Laden or perhaps the Ayatola Khoemeni with this attitude to women.

Tribute on FB from Nicola Sturgeon.
I was heartbroken to learn this morning of the passing of Sir Sean Connery. Our nation today mourns one of her best loved sons.
Sean was born into a working class Edinburgh family and through talent and sheer hard work, became a film icon and one of the world's most accomplished actors.
He will be remembered best as James Bond - for many, the classic 007 - but his roles were many and varied.
Sean was a global legend but, first and foremost, he was a patriotic and proud Scot. His towering presence at the opening of the Scottish Parliament was a sign of his dedication to his country.
He was a great supporter of the SNP and a lifelong advocate of an independent Scotland - we owe him a great debt of gratitude as a party and a movement.
It was a privilege to have known Sean. When I last spoke to him it was clear even then that his health was failing - but the voice, the spirit and the passion that we all loved so well were still there.
I will miss him. Scotland will miss him. The world will miss him.
My thoughts and condolences are with Micheline, his sons Jason and Stefan, his brother Neil and all the family.
