We already live in Europe as it happens but everyone makes mistakes.

The UK was the best -100 years ago. Now the UK struggles to keep its very best, in every way, because they won't pay them enough or Tax them up to the hilt. The taxes used in abundance for paying Benefits to immigrants and scroungers. We have become the soup kitchen of the western world.

I have lived and worked in three countries and can say hand on heart that the UK comes a poor second to Canada for quality of life, healthcare and social equality.

I have often been proud of my country but believing that it ts the bestie quite another thing,
Are we talking sport,road and rail system, health, education, fiscal , food......or perhaps all of them?

I have travelled a lot Emmie and very nearly put down roots in Cyprus around 17 years ago, got cold feet when we had to sign, in a way, I'm pleased I did, everything is for a purpose I think

we lag behind other countries no one can deny. In sport we hold our own for a small place, shame that its not longer English Premiership football but thats money for you... industry has been ailing for along while, but we are good at tech, Tim Berners Lee for example.

NHS needs a major overhaul on its management, but no government will do it.

Agree about the NHS, it's top heavy with management but still the envy of the world, why else would foreigners fly in to have their kids and fly back out again without paying ;0)

roads are ten times better than they were years ago, shame that money isn;t found for more rail projects across the country and not just crossrail. We may not be in the top ten bracket but i would rather live here than almost anywhere. No guns like USA not as cold for the most part as large parts of Canada in winter. The list is endless of what's to like, shame that our legal system seems to favour scumbags and lowlifes
