most of the people in this country didn;t have any dealing or know much about Empire i suspect. They were too busy working in industry, commerce, law and so forth. Or for the poor scratching a living. I praise the NHS in so far its free at the point of contact. What i object to is those who havn't paid a penny into it, and get much out of it.

Scotland may get her indpendence but i doubt it in the longer term, and if it goes then it will be subservient to the EU - i would be sorry to see the UK break apart i confess.

how many countries have you travelled to gulliver that you know that we are so hated abroad. You don't live here by all accounts, so what does it matter to you one way or the other. We may not be Great any more but we have done great things in the past, and will continue doing some in the future

My brother in law is part Maltese and he paints a vastly different picture to Gulliver,on his visits to relatives living there, he says the people of Malta love the British people
