London & South East is going into tier 4.

Christmas can't go ahead as originally planned.

This won't affect us too much as we've no plans. What about you?

Once again, Mr "Too little, too late" has let the country down with panic last-minute measures. What a shower.

For me, no change, Christmas alone, as I have been anticipating for months now.
I don’t think so unless in a bubble
Prudie im with you -
Boris has had to retreat on Christmas when he had no right to promise it in the first place. If he had been straight with people earlier it would have been far better than disappointing people now.
We made no plans as all was ever changing and guidelines/rules could be altered at any time.
no matter what he or any leader says there going to be those who have ignored tier 1, 2 3 and now 4.
^^^ lol like you
Wont affect hubs and myself. The people I feel MOST for tho is those who are already ill (not covid) and this will have been their last Christmas. There must be many families who have a known terminal loved one.
For those people there will be no more chance to make up for this next year.
Thanks, woof.... it looks like we remain in tier 3 in spite of the news.
Not just from covid, though eve. Many have also seen their last Christmas last year, due to treatment being stopped.
i feel sorry for everyone caught up in this mess, those who have died from it, their families who are grieving, those who cannot meet up, those who businesses have gone west.
Looks like a happy Easter then. :0)
we are but a small band of abers on a forum, many of whom have said what they can or cannot do, what about the rest of the country, are they all going to comply with what Boris Nichola say. no i don't think so.
Mamya... We made no plans as all was ever changing and guidelines-rules could be altered at any time

Same as you although I'm in West Yorkshire still Tier 3.
Personally I thought that the numbers originally presented for down south were a load of...BS.
pixie yes I agree... and those are the sort im also including in the group (for eg have had treatment stopped etc)
btw this new variant referred to is quite possibly across the Atlantic already, spoke to my family who live in South Africa today and (long before the Boris announcement) they told me that some of their areas are affected by a new, more contagious strain
So what he is now saying is that if you are in tier 2 seeing someone in tier 3 you can but only on Christmas Day now not the 4 days previously allowed
