If you haven't had your jab and haven't been called, you can now contact the NHS :o)

Just watching it now Tiggs
Just flashed up on phone as news. No sooner than I had seen it, phone rang, it was the surgery with my appointment on Friday. I am 68, so they are moving apace.
i had mine saturday, so my brother and sister in law should hopefully have theirs soon as they are eligible.
Yes, get in touch, get your jab. I have to wait a little longer yet, but I'm pleased to hear the uptake levels are so high.
i was surprised to get my appointment as i am under 70...but its done now...
Was reading today that Hugh Bonneville got his jab last month and he's only 57yrs old, doesn't even come into the over 60's category.

my mental health worker has had his, i guess because of his work...
he is under 30..
Well done to him for volunteering, it makes sense that those helping out should be vaccinated.
So does that mean that whatever age you are, if you volunteer to be a marshal, you'll get the vaccine?
one guy got one when he was barely 70 seconds old

yes i think so barsel
Thanks bednobs. My daughter is a full time teaching assistant, working with the children of the key workers and they haven't been offered the vaccine. Will tell her to go and volunteer as a marshal if she can get it that way.
it's a bummer of a job - when i went on sunday the marshalls were mainly having to stand outside in the wind and snow!
also, if she's working full time when will she get time to volunteer?
At the weekend, she took me for my jab on Saturday. There was a man guiding us in at the door, but all the other marshals inside were women. I just worry about her working with the children of the key workers in case one brings the covid into school and she might get it. The teacher she works with got it, so my daughter had to stay off for a week.
I thought about volunteering for genuine reasons, rather than fast tracking to the jab, but there was no option to chose indoor duties only. The role is described as Steward and includes ensuring social distancing, offering directions inside and outside the vaccination centre, and identifying people who need help.

I didnt realise volunteers would get the jab so I didnt go ahead, but having said that I really couldnt stand out in this weather and admire those who can.

I don't think anyone would volunteer at a vaccination centre purely because they think they can blag a jab.
Going to my second 'covid' funeral in 2 weeks, tomorrow. Please take this infection seriously, everyone.
