hard to say whether the US would have entered the war, dannyk. They seem to have entered WW1 largely as a result (not immediate) of the sinking of the Lusitania - but that was in part because Britain lied about it, so they might well not have taken Britain's word a second time. As 30 years earlier, there were German emigres in the USA as well as British ones, and they had a propaganda machine there, as Britain did.

But I can only repeat: had America and Russia not entered the war, Britain would not have ended up on the winning side.

And the relevance of this to the OP is that it involves what politicans should do when things are going badly. Churchill did not resign; neither should Biden.

Why in God's name would we want Biden to resign? We would be left with Harris as Potus. Harris is there for that very reason if you care to think on. When Biden's team were selecting a "running mate" they passed over an number of highly suitable options in favour of a woman of mixed Indian/African ancestry. She did not win one State during her primaries campaign and called Biden a Racist during them. She not only ticked the gender box but the colour one too. They passed over her obvious lack of ability(see her border issue performance) and she has gone on to demonstrate them from day 1 besides being an atrocious communicator. The coquettish giggling and gurning when a question, that needs facts to answer it, is asked are embarrassing even to those of us who don't like her. Biden knew what he was doing alright, we would have to be stupider that he is to replace him with her. They knew that she was a, mostly awol amateur and that she would make the somnambulist Biden look bright in comparison. The threat of Harris to follow makes sleepy Joe impeachable.

Can someone explain to me what is wrong with the idea of Kamala Harris being President if Biden resigns or dies?

I though that might have briefly highlighted her inappropriateness, apparently she needs to be worse before being considered as unsuitable. Can't imagine how much more she could be.

I don't like her for many reasons, more important, American people don't like her. She was the first person to drop out of the Dem Leader race. Couldn't get a nomination. (even in her own State)

I had problems reading that link as the page kept jumping about.

I did see there were allegations of "inappropriate touching" made by several woman but couldn't see anything about rape.

So, to ask again, did Harris accuse Biden of being a rapist during the debate?
