These are all amazing comedies (again - IMO...comedy is subjective) and they are truly, hideously, fantastically offensive.
The episode of Veep where ex-President Selina Myer's Presidental library is revealed where her mausoleum is in the shape of a...
..I literally cannot say it - this post would be deleted. You'd have to look it up.
Hilarious though.
Might watch it again tomorrow.

//Ahhh...I think I see what you mean now.
The problem is the lack of jokes about thick Irishmen, tight Scots, lazy blacks, dodgy Jews, horrible mother-in-laws etc.//
And there we have it. The casual, lazy insults aimed at the untermensch by the likes of you and your comedy heroes. Strange how we don't find it hilarious, innit.

Spicerack
But it gave us The Young Ones, French & Saunders, The Comic Strip, Ben Elton, Blackadder, Fry & Laurie, The Mary Whitehouse Experience, The Comedy Store...but more importantly it paved the way for a new generation of comedians who went onto bigger and better things.
Can't think of any upper class comedians...only a few middle class ones (Stephen Fry, Rowan Atkinson).

//Who are the approved victims.//
Trump, Trump supporters, the 'uneducated' (white)the unvaccinated(white)people who voted to leave the EU, any straight patriarchal man (white)
Basically white working class men.
// and who are the ones you can't do jokes about?//
Anyone on the Identity Politics list. I'm sure you know the list.
Many of the comedians/shows you've already mentioned amuse me.
Let's hope they stick around.
I'm sounding like an inverted snob but I just feel that all the avenues of social mobility for working class people are being closed down.

I can't see how anything will cancel comedy, it just changes along with what people think, want, like, which changes over the years
But, there is a problem with venues deciding on behalf of everyone else sometimes. Not because they can't sell enough tickets, or someone isn't popular enough, but because of a certain view they might have.
Leave it to the public to decide what they do or don't want, but refusing to put people on stage,is just censoring. There are lots mentioned here I personally don't like, loads of others I do... but I wouldn't cancel a comedian for being offensive, I just wouldn't go myself.
