Unfortunately, Nicola Sturgeon has done her best to make things worse between Scotland and the rest of us.
I think it’s good to be patriotic but there’s never any anti Royal feeling from the Welsh, or at least I haven’t seen any
Never mind the House of Hanover and the Oranges, we should remember that the line of succession takes us to back James I of the UK aka James VI of Scotland - the numeration says it all, so QE II has more north-of-the-border heritage than being English.

Prince William will probably be the most English monarch in centuries thanks to his mother and then George VII or VIII will take it another step further, owing to Queen Catherine - note that there has been a number of suggestions that Charles may take the name regnant 'George VII' if he gets to sit on the royal bog seat.
Yes, it is a little odd. I have met so many Scots that have moved to England, for whatever reason, but they still claim Scotland is their favourite country. Quite confusing.
Now her hatred of the English jumps right out the tv no matter how much it’s denied Pat
Believe me Pixie, living north of the 'Wall' as an English person makes one far more patriotic as in being English - particularly when it comes to the sports war-clashes.

It reminds me of an old joke - one of those weekends when the Scots had been trounced all over the shop and the globe - what's the difference between Scottish sport and the Sydney Harbour Bridge?

Not everybody has walked over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Where were you in '69 Bobs? There was plenty of anti-Royal sentiment from sections of Welsh society when Charles was being made Prince Of Wales, as i recall.
Fair enough, dt. But I still find it odd, when someone chooses to live in a different country, while claiming they prefer their own.
I remember the investiture Ken , what I mean is I can’t recall seeing it on here
Including an attempted bombing at the Investiture.....never mind the spoof 'Come Home to a Real Fire' ad in North Wales

Hypocritically, I remember equally supporting England and Iceland in football. Because I was thinking of relatives.
Billy Connolly joked about that Pixie , about the hills and the loughs and far away from home yet saying it was the best place to live, odd that :0/
When England got kicked out the World Cup , I supported Wales who were on a good run
My mum is icelandic... and they were underdogs really. So, I was happy either way.
This was announced in Church this morning and we are both delighted. So was everyone else in the congregation. It's a great shame she and Charles couldn't marry when they were young i.m.o..
I agree Jourdain. I'm glad times have changed now, and the young Royals can marry for love. The Queen and Prince Philip were lucky that they loved each other and it was considered a suitable union.

What stopped Charles and Camilla from marrying when they were younger - they were both single?
I started reading ^^^and was then asked to create an account. And it was getting interesting.
Sorry about that, doesn't happen to me - strange.
