Good for her. Oops! Maybe I shouldn't have said that.

I know we've disagreed on this in the past. But please don't twist my arguments into something misogynist. They are not. It's just a deliberate and twisted misrepresentation.
That doesn't answer it. I am listening, feel free to correct me.
To my ears, nothing Adele said was wrong, it's what she feels. Some don't approve and that's their right too, but no one should be pilloried for saying how they personally feel.

It's always been the case that when you say 'I love...' an odd bod will chip in with, 'So you hate...'.

Best ignored.
At the time I wrote that, your question hadn't appeared. But, besides, you already know what my answer's going to be, since you've already asked, and we have already discussed this at length. A woman is an adult human female. Trans women are a subset of women, who were assigned male at birth.
Good answer Jim.
How is a male a subset of women? They don't even overlap, or even, obviously understand.
Jim, what is a woman?
// A woman is an adult human female//
At least we agree on something!
I already told you my definition. It's perfectly self-consistent. You are, of course, free to answer the question differently, and your answer would also be self-consistent. Humanity is complicated, and there are multiple ways to describe and explain it.

Thanks, Mamya :)
Just ignore it, Jim. No surprise there!
I appreciate your concession that a woman is female though.
I didn't ignore you. You asked the same question twice; my answer hadn't changed since I gave it the first time, so for a change I decided not to repeat myself.
You didn't answer. That's why :-)
What is a woman?
See my post at 17:35.

Just because you don't personally agree with the answer I gave doesn't mean I haven't answered it.
Jim, first, a disagreement with me, is still an answer. I don't have any requirements!

So //A woman is an adult human female. Trans women are a subset of women, who were assigned male at birth.//

This is confusing, so please clarify. People who are male at birth, are obviously not female. Geniunely, I am a bit baffled here. Do I now need to ask you what a female is??

I'm honestly just asking what you think, but your posts are so contradictory, it's hard to make head nor tail of them.

What is a woman? What is a female?
I'm surprised Pixie that you find it necessary to grill others of their answer to your question

Are you not confident in what a woman/female is?

If you are then that's all good.
I'd like to believe you were asking in good faith, but we've discussed this at length many times previously, and I had thought I'd made myself perfectly clear then. I'm not altogether sure there's anything further I can add to what I've previously said which would clarify things any further to your satisfaction.
I totally am, mamya. Aren't you? I actually genuinely admire your efforts to keep everyone happy... but I also don't believe that some disagreement/debate is unhealthy either. I am trying to get Jim's pov.
One minute he suggests women are female, and at the same time, that males might be.
Almost laughable.... but I thought he was a scientist who goes with finding truth.
I'm discussing in good faith, Jim. I think we both realise you are more intransigent, while I was looking for compromise?
In any case, feel free now please- to shout out to all of us, how any man, could actually be a woman..
Perhaps the easiest way to put it is that, when for example TTT says that "a woman is XX, a man is XY. End of!", I would replace "end of!" with "usually, but not always". Moreover, as we both agree (I know this, because we explicitly have agreed with it), biological sex and gender are not the same thing. In general, I understand "woman" primarily in terms of gender. As far as I could tell from our previous discussions, you understand it instead in terms of sex.

I hope that clarifies things. If not, then all I can suggest is that you find somebody else to ask.
// I think we both realise you are more intransigent, while I was looking for compromise? //

If you think I wasn't looking for compromise in our previous discussions you couldn't be more wrong. But there we are. We each look at ourselves in a more favourable light, I guess.
