god I dont. I recall some quite good discussion led by a molecular biologist.
to show an insertion of a segment, you have to get Virus A, indentify the area of the insert,
then identify the 'donor' virus , where the insert has come from, say B, and the sites where they welded it
It hasnt been done - but how do you prove a negative?
and you arent allowed to say,
"I cant identify the inserted segment which I KNOW is there. We have looked everywhere, and our best guess is one of the lizard people under the White House. - - - case proven!"
