The per capita murder rate for the UK is around 1.2%. About a million people attend the carnival, so if there's only been one murder, you're theoretically safer at the carnival than anywhere else in the UK!

well, you know how it is, Redhelen - someone did a comparision, just before Covid I think, and concluded the crime rate at Notting Hill is much the same as at Glastonbury. But only for one of these is the list of arrests automatically published every year. I wonder why?
