Not yet confirmed by No 10, but if this is true then that's a massive shock.

It's high time that Tories, like me, admitted that this is the biggest political *up in generations. No more excuses, no more having a go at Labour.

"She wasn’t dismissed, ich. According to BBC News on now she resigned. "

Resignation sorry yes: but the technicality being used as the reason when it seems it was a row over immigration.

I don’t think there are many who don’t acknowledge it’s a mess, paigntonian.

The problem is that there's no agreement on why it's such a *up. In my obviously biased assessment this goes all the way back to the 2015 Election; Naomi points to the decision to oust their election-winning leader; others might have a different opinion of when the rot set in.

In either case, the Tories need a reset, and they can't have that and still be in Government.
Grant Shapps, who used a fake name in order to pose as a "millionaire web marketer" running a get-rich-quick scheme, and then lied about it for three years, is now in charge of law, order and security in the UK.

ROFLMAO, please tell me again how Labour will be worse?!
Pincher brought Boris down, and Shapps will bring Truss down. Believe me
Think it's time for the 5c's on Ab to get their act together.
Oh good grief! Television still
on and we now have a party political broadcast by the LibDems! I think we’re in the midst of the funny farm! :o)
Re Truss. Thought this was rather good.

Or Cabinet Meeting as it’s more commonly known.
Aside from physical violence how do we get rid of this dreadful woman?

"We" can't. She might resign, or Tory MP's might decide to oust her.
The Chief Whip’s gone now!

When's a confidence vote not a confidence vote, when you know you're going to lose it.

Chief Whip and Deputy Chief Whip both reported to have resigned. Utter chaos.

Not to mention the reports that some MPs were manhandled to force them to vote with the Government, which is surely unacceptable.
Honourable members with only the good of the country at heart.

I think Jim Royle said it best.
I think that Truss has voted against the government...
Jim, Reports that MPs were manhandled to force them to vote with the government? What reports?
Question Author
It's the lead headline on Sky right now. See, eg, a question Chris Bryant put to the Deputy Speaker, alleging bullying and physical manhandling. Certainly, with the apparent resignation of the two Chief Whips, it's clear that discipline in the Tories has totally broken down.

At the moment, it's not confirmed or clear what's gone on, and much more will come out later. But it's also clear that many Tory MPs are angry at how they're being treated. Charles Walker launched a remarkable tirade on BBC just now:

"This is an absolute disgrace. As a Tory MP of 17 years, who's never been a minister who's got on with it loyally most of the time, I think it's a shambles and a disgrace. I think it is utterly appalling.

"I'm livid. And do you know, I really shouldn't say this, but I hope all those people that put Liz Truss in Number 10, I hope it was worth it. I hope it was worth it for the ministerial Red Box, I hope it was worth it to sit round the Cabinet table. Because the damage they have done to the party is extraordinary. I've had enough of talentless people putting their tick in the right box not because it's in the national interest, but because it's in their own interest to achieve a ministerial position."
