I think that the lady was asking where her family originated from. I think that is a genuine question, maybe not the time nor the place but it is hardly a major issue.

bob - // andy you seem to be deliberately misnterpreting what people like naomi are saying. //
That absolutely cuts two ways bob.
// Anyway, just because Lady Hussey was at fault dosn't rule out Ms Fulani being a schemer who made the most of things to help an agenda //
No, it doesn't, and I have never suggested that it did.
In past posts, I have freely agreed that Ms Fulani made unnecessary and inappropriate capital out of the situation, including referring to it as 'assault' when it was clearly nothing of the kind.
So you are right, Lady Hussey;s fault does not mitigate the ongoing response by Ms Fulani.
But let's not forget, there would not have been the situation for Ms Fulani to exploit, if Lady Hussey had not created it in the first place.

naomi - // AH, 19.54. I was asked to repeat that - so wind your neck in. //
It is only one aspect of the litany of reasons you have come up with to castigate Ms Fulani for defending herself, and defend Lady Hussey for her rudeness - so it's no use trying to pretend that this is an isolated incident - it has been your firm intention since this thread started.
// You’re making a fool of yourself - again. //
In your opinion, and I think you know how much I value that ...

...and there we have it. Lady Hussey, after officiating and attending gatherings such as this for decades, decided to "create" a fuss because she though the attention thereafter would be a jolly good wheeze, and Ms Fulani decided to use a nom de plume, don Nigerian National costume and be as evasive regarding her true origins as possible whilst either recording the proceedings or having an "acquaintance" to hand who could provide forensic level confirmation of her "account". All without any forethought or malicious intent as she has been inclined to demonstrate previously. Nice to have it all cleared up is it not?

Interesting - and fictional, as you well know.
This was an unfortunate incident which got blown out of all proportion.
I don't believe, and I don;t think anyone would, that either party went out on that day with the intention of causing upset or offence to anyone in any way, or to create a situation with forethought to assume victimhood and make a noise about it.
Lady Hussey's approach was wrong, she admitted it, she apologised and she resigned of her own volition.
Ms Fulani defended herself, as she is absolutely entitled to do, and then decided to make a meal out of the whole sorry business, making herself far more 'damaged' than she was, and making personal promotional capital out of the whole business.
My contributions to this thread have been broadly along these lines - and they have evolved as circumstances have changed and more information has been made available -
To hold Lady Hussey responsible for the initial situation, which she has been happy to admit was her responsibility.
To defend Ms Fulani's right to take offence and call out the offender at the time.
To entirely appreciate Lady Hussey's rapid apology, regret her resignation, and understand that this was in no way a racist incident, or inentional in any way.
To castigate Ms Fulani's unwillingness to accept the apology graciously, and to let the matter drop, but instead to make media capital out of something, by making it appear far more serious and damaging than it actually was.
And most of all - to remain utterly baffled at the vigour and stamina of those posters on here who have made it their bsuiness over the last week to dig out any and all negative facts about Ms Fulani, effectively to suggest that she deserved what she got because she is a 'liar'.
I don't believe that to be true, I have argued, and still argue those positions tonight, and will do so until the thread runs out of steam, and experience tells me that all threads, even record-breaking threads like this one, do eventually fade away.

Ms Fulani is not a trustee of the charity and that is in whom the ultimate responsibility rests. I see nothing in the accounts that gives any cause for concern.
It may concern the charity that Ms Fulani has acted in a way that seeks to continue the dispute and foster hate rather than attempting to reconcile and build bridges. Given that the charity works to support targets of abuse, to term what happened at the palace "abuse" does not help the cause of those her organisation seeks to support.
Also, it seems there is a fair degree of judging by appearance. This is something that is very easy to do. Ms Fulani was, it seems, judged by Lady Hussey. As a result of her appearance, what she said was not accepted. Wrongly, it is said.
Yet it seems acceptable not to take any account of something an MP says on the basis of his appearance.

bob - // I never commented onthe late reporting Andy so why have a go at me without string of exclamations...iwas just confirming part of what corbyloon was querying //
I was not 'having a go' at you - trust me, if I am, you'll know!
I was merely pointing out, yet again, the utter farce the sideshow of charity accounts is to the discussion we are supposed to be having - introduced, as it was, as part of a concerted campaign to malign Ms Fulani, and imply that her treatment was, at best, diluted by hoer own behaviour, or at worst, making Lady Hussey's rudeness entirely justified.
