Zebu - I am intrigued as to why you consider LadySH, not guilty of making racist remarks during her exchange with NF? //
I wonder Zebu, if you have read the entire thread from start to finish, and not just cherry-picked one observation from me?
If you have read the thread, and if not, then you should before making any comment, you will read that not only have I probably contributed more posts to it than anyone else, but that I have been a more vociferous defender of Ms Fulani in this disgraceful affair.
I think, if memory serves, that my observation that this was 'not a racist incident' - may have been in observing the way Ms Fulani has unfortunately chosen to expand the situation into something rather larger and more damaging that it may actually have been.
I am wary of using an emotive term like 'racist' because it has such undertones of hatred and incitement.
However, if I posted that phrase, in that context, than it was in haste, and without proper qualification, and does not by any means underpin my overall approach to Lady Hussey's disgraceful behaviour.
And if you read the thread from beginning to end, you will clearly see that.
If you want to have a pop at Lady Hussey's defenders, then any poster, apart from myself, and I think maybe two, at the most three, others, will adequately provide ammunition for you to do so.
That's before the thread took a steep swerve into the Twilight Zone where a number of AB'ers started gleefully trawling the net for information with which to trash Ms Fulani's reputation with, as it transpires, false accusations if impropriety regarding her charity.
Along with her dress, hair style, and name of choice.
So do by all means have a read, and then come back with perhaps a more balanced idea of where your criticism should actually be directed.
