Since posts concerning the prisoner exchange now seem spent, the introduction of a tangential topic might just inspire OPs to submit views from a different perspective which relate to the main theme.
Besides, I'm rather interested in why NJ feels she is not 'wholly' female.

> I am just concerned that people don't use Ms. Griner's sexuality as a stick to beat her with, in the way that Ms Fulani's charity accounts submissions were (wrongly it transpired), used to besmirch her personal reputation
>> AH? Ms. Griner’s sexuality? What do you mean?
It seems quite obvious what he means. Here is a selection of comments on this thread (which is supposed to be about a prisoner swap):
* To Greece, the Isle of Lesbos perhaps?
* Saw this on the news and was shocked when they said she was a 'she' - would have put money on that it was a bloke.
* It's "her" Adam's Apple that really gives the game away.
* I suppose the women who play the game are quite happy with Brittney's participation in their sport?
* I'm not suggesting Brittney is transgender (since that is an equally meaningless term). I'm simply not entirely convinced that she is biologically female. But it's only a suspicion and it doesn't matter to me. But it would matter if you were a participant in women's basketball.
* I’d never heard of the lady before. She looks quite masculine. She might have DSD, like Caster Semenya the middle distance runner who has spent years trying to get back into her sport, with fellow competitors complaining about her.
* Do you suspect BG might be hermaphrodite or her biological makeup comprises of a XY chromosome pair?

I suspect she is not biologically female.

It's not relevant to that at all. But it is relevant to the remark made by the OP at 20:28 yesterday.
//Besides, I'm rather interested in why NJ feels she is not 'wholly' female.//
I'm not particularly interested in that. I wouldn't be interested at all except that this person (of whom I'd never heard prior to yesterday) appears to participate in top level women's sport. I have a particular gripe with males participating on female sport and take an interest when I see what may be an example of it.
//> So what?//
It's a discussion, that's "so what." I didn't know we were subject to "Terms of Reference".
//They were unfairly detained and their release should be applauded.//
There's only one person the subject of this thread, Mozz. "They" and "their" are plural pronouns. I know some sources define those words as pronouns to be used when referring to a person of unspecified gender. Apart from that being nonsense, I don't believe there is anybody querying this person's gender.
