Thousands of coach and car passengers endured a miserable Wait .
Many of them all through the night for their much awaited Easter Holiday
Stormy weather and the French were blamed by the UK Government .
But the Brits were just getting a taste of what they signed up for with Brexit When voted to become "Third Country Nationals" in the eyes of the EU... And it can only get worse....You are no longer in the EU so you have to join the non EU queues at ports and airports You voted for it . Enjoy.

As I have said before, things are going to get much, much worse with Brexit continuing to wreck havoc on the UK.

7 hours to board a Ferry.
7 hours of sad children missing the start of their holiday, 7 hours for ill pensioners needing a break and instead being stuck in a car with no toilets nearby .... all very enjoyable, gulliver1?
Schadenfreude is not always awfully pretty, in this case it's pretty awful.

12 hours to get through passport control. This is never right . This is not what you expected when you voted OUT way back in 2016
When who voted out, Gulliver?
Schadenfreude is not always awfully pretty, in this case it's pretty awful - and gets worse with very repetition.

Have some humanity - these are people - not political pawns in your game.
Gulliver gets away with it. I have no idea why. Its about time it was dealt with. The eds are not slow in reprimanding others. Being told to avoid or ignore is really not good enough. As Dave has proved this evening, sometimes we just have to vent our feelings about persistent intentional troublemaking.
And not just trouble making, Lottie. It's the gloating and unkindness that's making AB unattractive to new members.
I have noticed more and more that the usually well balanced regular users get slapped wrists for the slightest line crossing and yet there are several, like gulliver, who get away with constant unpleasantness. It;s not what they say, it's how they say it.
Mind you, also note he is popular with some, if he fires at the right people, as shown on this thread for example.
Very true Gness. We've lost a lot of good people and we won't get any new blood whilst it carries on.

21.43 No doubt ,you voted out also, MT, and your pride and ego has now been dented. Never mind.I am sure you will get over it OK.
For crying out loud, Gulliver. What is wrong with you? Most of my friends and family voted remain. Some voted leave. We are able to discuss what is happening as time passes without the rudeness you display with your infantile comments.
We have a few members who can't deal with a difference of opinion without being rude but you take the biscuit.
With each posting Gully you are digging yourself a bigger hole and proving how stupid you are.
Any chance of answering a direct question, gulliver1 :

Is it acceptable for you to gloat about human beings who are stuck in a 7 hour traffic jam at Dover, merely to make a political point?
As gully can't C&P and no doubt has no idea what schadenfreude means...

schadenfreude
NOUN
pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune:
Doh - I'll have to find another long word now, roy ...
floccinaucinihilipilification could be a good word for all things gully based.
//I'm a staunch remainer - and I'm appalled by the current entirely predictable chaos.//

If it was entirely predictable, surely the people responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of visitors to their country (i.e. the French) should have prepared for the changes brought about by Brexit and made the necessary arrangements. If there were similar queues of people at Calais aiming to reach Dover, the blame for the chaos would be visited on the UK border people. So why are the French absolved from blame? As you say, the changes were predicted and they had ample time to prepare. So why didn’t they?

//floccinaucinihilipilification//

“The action of describing something as worthless”. No, I didn’t look it up. I recall it from an edition of “The Guiness Book of Records” from some years back, when that word was listed as one of the longest in the English language.
