Thatcher
It is now 10 years since Thatcher died. She was enabled into power by the SNP back in 1979.I wonder if any of the SNPers on here now regret their choice?

Without a single shadow of a doubt, easily the best PM ever. The way she turned this country around was utterly masterful, and we will forever be in her debt for doing so. She was brilliant.

The SNP are still the main Brexiteer party in Scotland,TCL.I dont know if Jim F is still on here or not,but i asked him who the SNP voted for in the no-confidence vote back in 1979.I said the SNP voted for and enabled Thatcher. He seems to disagree.Do you know the answer, did the SNP vote alongside Thatcher or did they vote alongside the socialist government of Jim Callaghan.I will let you be the main arbiter,TCL.Yes or no?
SNP support for the Labour government was on condition they introduced devolution in Scotland.
That did not happen so why would the SNP have voted in a way to keep Labour in power?
If they had abstained, Labour would have remained in government for a few more month.
All that happened was the inevitable was brought forward.
