Does anyone ponder why so many British passport holding Sudanese are in Sudan?
One chap on the front page of today's Telegraph is weeping because he had left his wife & son there when he boarded the plane.

He is described as a taxi-driver; I was wondering how a British taxi-driver can afford the time & money to take his family for a visit to Sudan, - any ideas please?

YNNAFYMMI has a poor grasp of the facts at the best of times.

Even if it was an attempt at humour, being evacuated because of a civil war does not strike me as being a laughing matter.
Its okay for you being a British Englishman pretending to be Scottish. Can you point out Scotland on a map...or Ireland even....
Are you unwell?
Yawn..no,just having a laugh at you nationalists...
The lunatics are taking over the asylum
This thread isn’t AB’s finest hour it has to be said
Nationalists will be nationalists, ichy. No nationalists,no postings such as these.
This thread is about the situation in Sudan, your anti-SNP obsession is irrelevant.
It’s sad that some people don’t think British citizens have a right to be rescued from a war zone. You might question individual cases without knowing all the facts but that’s slightly different.
Wait until the humanitarian corridor for Sudanese refugees starts! I predict AB meltdown.
Will this conflict turn into a full civil war?
Surprise surprise the PMC Wagner group are suspected of aiding the RSF. They own a gold mine in the country which IMO should be confiscated as the group is a terrorist organisation in all but name

/It’s sad that some people don’t think British citizens have a right to be rescued from a war zone.//

It's sad that British citizens forsake their country then expect it to step in & rescue them if things go wrong!
How do you know they have all “forsaken” their country?
Like I say, matter of principle re protection of citizens versus matter of crass generalisations
If I had lived abroad for several years I wouldn't expect the UK to come to my aid in troubled times Just deal with it..

Spot on.
If you are a British citizen , then you should expect a rescue party to be mobilised pronto
“If I had lived abroad for several years I wouldn't expect the UK to come to my aid in troubled times Just deal with it”

Maybe you wouldn’t Dave but that isn’t really the point. All situations are not the same. All people are not the same.
Presumably some people aren’t evacuating

*** - take responsibility for your own life.

Probably - they have some integrity & courage.
rhymes with rowlocks
perpetual wars in africa, who would have thunk, ex colonies this or that, they are independent and demanded it, but now want help from the white devil slave masters, i wonder what percent of the refugees
or sudanese with uk passports were asylum seekers originally, thne go back on holiday from whence they ran away from, it happens a lot, not just from sudan..a lot just take the proverbial out of our system, im not saying all, we cannot take in people from every wartorn country, build another uk..cause we are over populated.
