Because it suits the narrative.....I bet loads of those who took to the streets would be surprised to find themselves 'smeared' as being (far) right-wing.Being concerned about what is happening in your locale does not a neo-nazi make.

why dont the government ask for communities where these riots are happening to elect a spokeperson to air their views, maybe the riots would stop.

^ Is that from a far right website by any chance 😂

Depends on whether they intend to listen to and act on the words of the representative. If they just want to be able to ignore them, that wouldn't work.

As with the George Flloyd incident, sometimes one event is needed to spark off stored resentment - in that case among the Black community.

khandro: "As with the George Flloyd incident, sometimes one event is needed to spark off stored resentment - in that case among the Black community." - funny, no one described them as "right wing".

quite right jack, funny how the lefties on here can't seem to grasp that.

people are of course free to pretend they don't understand the difference between violent riots against sections of the population and non violent protests targeting policymakers... but we can all see that you are lying through your teeth.

untitled: "people are of course free to pretend they don't understand the difference between violent riots against sections of the population and non violent protests targeting policymakers." No one is doing that. You seem to be under the illusion that every single one of them is a Nazi. So you are either really thick or lying to yourself.

^^Or both.

I am almost 77 years old. I am the oldest child from a family of 13. I was raised on a large council estate through the late 40s, 50s and most of the 60s. Aged 17yrs I was working underground in a coal mine. My father and his, including their brothers(some killed in action) served in the armed forces in the defence of this Country. I was raised to respect democracy, and have been a fierce advocate of the social benefits it bestows on those who treasure it as much as I do. I now find myself labelled as "far right" by people who have dedicated their lives to undermining  our democracy. They would have me judged as nazi if they could convene a court in their own image. Our new and exciting administration of control has, in just over 4 weeks, set out to penalise the elderly and vulnerable by stripping away a Winter aid to ensure that they are able to heat their homes. At the same time it has guaranteed that fuel prices must rise to pay for the fool energy policy. Powers have been granted, to the favoured to sieze land and green belt countryside, to build thousand of new dwellings for the immigrant population the vast majority being illegal entrants( over 3,000 in the last 4 weeks). Prisons have been emptied of violent criminals, some career criminals, who will immediately resume their activities, and some knife wielders.
Meanwhile murders and rapist stalk our streets targeting children, unhindered by our forces of law and order whilst they have a kneel down or offer advice and assistance. It would appear that the only section, of what is left, of our society that objects to these events is now the target for punishment and demonised as the culprits for the unrest. Right so far!

why doesnt the government ask for communities   to elect a spokeperson, maybe the riots would stop.

oh, an election

and if it is a general issue, then we cd call it a " general election" ! no why hasnt someone thought of that before?

and when I write that answer bank is really ar+an bank, I get deleted - with the usual screaming and high dudgeon ? and high pitched ya-ya ?

The native population may be far less keen on democracy if invading hoards end up outnumbering them. One weakness of democracy is the possibility of such a hostile takeover from outside. And government is doing nothing to remove the risk.

20:14 bang on I would give BA but I already gave that and I'd hate to be an indian giver.

“I have my doubts that the new Home Secretary will be true to her word but in the unlikely event that she is, they shouldn't look forward to leniency.”

The new Home Secretary should know, naomi, that she has no influence over sentencing and should make no promises on that topic.

“ why dont the government ask for communities where these riots are happening to elect a spokeperson to air their views,”

And what would be the point?:

Spokesperson: “Minister, we really are fed up with the fact that £8m a day is being spent on hotel accommodation for people with no right to be here when there is (so we are told and for example) insufficient cash for pensioners’ winter fuel allowances.”

Minister: “Sorry, there’s nothing we can do about it. And it will only get worse because new arrivals are pitching up in their hundreds almost every day.”

er have we had  -  "because they are" ?

I havent checked all my deleted answers

// It would appear that the only section of our society that objects to these events is now the target for punishment and demonised as the culprits for the unrest. //

It is not just the far right who object, everyone agrees that these high levels of uncontrolled immigration are bad for our country.
They are not demonised for objecting, they are demonised for attacking the police, arson and criminality.
