Surely Israel & it's Western allies must take on Iran and end the despicable regime of the Ayatollas? Half Iran's population (the women) live under extreme suppression enforced by sadistic religious zealots. Once Iran is liberated and stops supporting its satellite terrorist groups there will be a better chance of peace in the Middle East.

10:10 oh no! TCL will be gutted!

"But it isn't firing 100s of rockets at its neighbours or funding & arming terrorist armies in other countries to target the West."

it has however generated lots of terrorist groups and a hell of a lot of refugees... ISIS as i recall started off in iraq. a failed state of 90 million people is not going to benefit anyone.

people really do not think this through... they want fewer refugees and less terrorism but want to overthrow iran. they want to back ukraine and at the same time bail out israel. you people need to make some choices!!

Iran doesn't need to be a "failed state" just a liberalised one. Other countries in the ME aren't all failed states. And Iran is far richer in natural resources than Iraq.

No, untitled, you need to make choices - and rational ones.  By your reasoning Israel should have allowed Hamas to continue to slaughter its people indiscriminately.  It makes no sense at all.

My opinion is that israel should focus on a defensive strategy rather than an offensive one. this war with iran you're all so keen on will end in nothing but tears and will not make israel any safer.

Ah, great strategy, just sit there and take it.  Makes perfect sense, Untitled.

"Iran doesn't need to be a "failed state" just a liberalised one"

erm it hasn't gone too well in the past when we have tried to force countries in the middle east to liberalise has it.

Yes, and no one including Israel has any intention of firing anything at them.

It is now clear Iran has been using its proxies to attack others, so time to cut the head off the snake.  It also has the added advantage that real Iranians can be released from the vile regime running Iran - you know those that murder people for not wearing ceetain clothing.

I do wonder about people who dont want to see Iran, or their terrorist proxies got rid off and some order restored to the region.  Are they closet fanatical Muslims themselves, the confused Far-left or plain simpletons?  Or perhaps they are simply anti semites?

as opposed to what spungle?

But no nation can allow itself to be continually attacked without reprisal.  Why is that so difficult for you to understand?

goodness it's like we learned absolutely nothing from iraq and afghanistan

Israel has world class missile defences naomi. it would not have suffered the october 7 attack if it had not poured hundreds of millions into hamas to keep them in power. this idea that they will be safer if they can only manage to remove the iranian government is lunacy. it doesn't work.

That's not an answer.

how would you feel about sending your children off to war in iran naomi? would you tell them "don't worry, you're doing this for israel" before returning inside for your cup of tea?

Probably due to one of the reasons I have stated above NAoimi.

Although I do have to agree we should not force regime change, rather we should facilitate those within to take control of their country.  That applies to both Lebanon and Iran.  No occupation or forces.

"As opposed to what spungle?"

As opposed to responding with the best means of defence. How would you suggest Israel react "defensively" to an existential threat?!

And there we have it, "It's for Israel".

Cant see past the anti Jewishnes of the left and see that this problem affects much of the World.

Untitled has lost the plot, no one is sending "our children" to Iran.

What I've learned so far is that, despite the undisputed backing of Allah and Mohammed and an arsenal of long-range missiles, Iran is pretty crap at attacking.

All that hardware and three people reported injured, a triumph indeed.

Now come on Israel, show them how it's done.

if only we could inspire such passion in the left for our own side.
