If 135,000 lands in your bank account
In the news today a Woman went to the cash point to find 135,000 in her bank account that wasent hers.
She blew most of it in weeks.
Would you do the same?
I would, I think if its their mistake then its tough.
Instead of blowing it all on holidays and plasma screens, I would transfer the lot over to another bank then if they asked for it back then you could have a few quid interest from their mistake before giving it back.
I dont think the lady should be in court over this. Its all wrong.

Flip Flop - I take your point but I think you're at two different extremes. I don't think murder and theft are comparable in this instance. I do agree she needs to be punished. But I think a suspended sentence and paying back the money and returning all goods is punishment enough. I do not think this warrants a jail sentence.

Now we're talking.
Let's scrap custodial sentences for women over 60. Then criminals can pay granny to steal benefits, deal drugs and handle stolen goods for them.
The criminals can avoid committing getting busted. Old ladies can top up their pensions, knowing they're not going to jail.
Everyone's a winner!

Smudge - I don't know. I didn't think the 'little old ladies' should go to prison for not being able to afford their council tax.
Right now I'm just getting confused as to who's debating what and from what perspective now.
Lock her in the tower. With the little old ladies... I think that's what I was saying right? ;0)

No matter how you look at it she was a bit naughty spending money that clearly wasn't hers! As for sending her to prison well, I'm sure it wouldn't be THAT bad, I mean according to some on here it's a bit of a holiday camp anyway....who knows the weather might improve and she could even get herself a nice sun tan!
libertie - I've also read that some prisons are like holiday camps too! So - for anyone who can't afford a holiday this year.......only joking!
Anyway, I'm not so much getting confused on here CD, I'm just getting a headache, so I'm off for a nice long walk.
Hope you all have a nice afternoon - sincerely!
