I got caught with pot so many times as a teenager, in the 90s when it was class c and never got as much as a caution. Had it confiscated a few times, asked for a receipt and got told not to be so cheeky and sent packing.
Wont make any diference to your average cannabis smoker.

Yeah I know thats why I mentioned it will probably make no difference because I knew it was a class b when I used to get stopped and searched.
I think amphetamines and steroids and the like should have stayed class A even though I have in my past taken some of them too. Its a waste of bloody time and money. Re-educating children and making them having a sensible approach to recreational drugs would be better served and for gods sake, lets not tell them , No no no, its bad for you, if you take them you will end up dead or insane. Its a lie. The truth is best.

Brown wants to increase cannabis from C to B and Cameron wants to downgrade extacy from an A to a B

Through long term use though, Loosehead. Quite often these people who end up with with some form of mental illness are predisposed to it anyway and might have ended up that way naturally, or helped through long term use of prozac or vallies or something else.
Most users dont even smoke a teenth a day. A few joints a week are better for you than a few pints a day.

Perlease, the tobacco (and it's 99% taken with tobacco) alone contains enough poisonous chemicals to sink a battleship, let alone the brain frying stuff that comes with it!
Oh and congratulations you are the winner of my "who will be the first to try and change the subject" competition!

Be fair. While there is a chance of ending up insane, it's a tiny tiny one.
Are we now at a stage where the government tells us what we can and can't do, based on what it thinks is good for us?
Strange then, that it's perfectly legal to:
- commit suicide
- self-harm
- drink alcohol
- eat fatty foods
- smoke cigarettes
- stay up past bedtime
The government isn't reclassifying drugs according to any rational legal philosophy. It's a vote-winner for armchair moralists.

some people dont use tobacco loosehead, infact most of the people that I know that smoke cannabis dont smoke. And it has less effects than drink. No fighting for a start and can also help alot of health problems. You dont get a pint on the NHS do you. Pot should be legalised then I'd bet there's be few doing it.
4getmenot: "no Fighting for a start......", No just stabbings and assorted violence.

Yes they asked can cannabis lead to murder. Yes these are people that smoked cannabis. But compared to the beating people get from drunk partners and stabblings outside clubs where people have been drinking its nothing. There are more deaths a year from drinking alcohol than smoking weed, partly due to the fact you cant overdose on weed. I dont personally smoke weed but I would rather spend my time with people chillingly smoking weed that drunken louts vandalising and spewing on the street. We can have our opinion and you cant change that. You dont need to get on our backs, if you ask a question expect there to be answers that dont always agree with you.
well seeing as those sorts of things are happening every hour of every day with no previous underlying mental health condition then yes it should be a hanging offence to be caught with cannabis on you.
We have, in the sleepy town of Taunton, had a recent bout of violence of a weekend. Stabbings, people getting absolutely pummeled and losing their eyesight at the taxi rank and stuff... hmmmmm..... and this is happening every week. What is the cause? Do we think its cannabis?

Can we stop talking about alcohol, this is a discussion about lovely fluffy, harmless, good for you, all purpose, healing the sick, happy drug, Cannibis, the miracle cure for all societies ills, not that nasty booze, that's another discussion why is it that dope heads cannot defend their habit without changing the subject?
I'm more than happy to have disagreement, this is a debate after all. Whatever gives you the idea that I'm not?
