Should these women now face a dishonourable discharge, for a self inflicted condition, making them unfit for active service?

Correct.
It's usually only after the birth that they are found to be AWOL........................:o)

No need to be rude redhelen.

It matters little if they got pregnat before or after being posted.

It couldn't be that they got pregnant to escape going to Afghanistan, Just like those that get pregnant to get a council house.

I know it takes two to have sex and become pregnant (or "up the duff" as you so elegantly put it), but the female is always in charge of the situation, and by consenting to intercourse they are the one's who should take on the full responsibility for their actions.

Had it had been the consequence of rape then it would have been a different matter.
Is there actually ANYONE whom you consider as being deserving of your self-regarded high praise, AOG ?
I was going, but will now have to stick around for the answer to that, jack ;o)

so women must take responsibility for their actions but men needn't? Well, you aren't the only person round here who takes that view. Curiously, all of them seem to be male.

Yes stick around sara3 why don't you? But then you could also spend that time providing us with your contributions on the subject, instead of hovering like a carrion crow always ready to pick up the pieces of others postings.

You ask me to name anyone who I consider as being deserving of my self-regarded high praise.

Well for starters, all our troops that are out in Afghanistan.

All those that are prepared to stick up for the culture of the once Great Britain.

All those who object strongly against the determination of some to wipe the name of England from the European map.

All those who are prepared to live a lawful, decent, and disciplined life, that once made England a decent, safe country in which to live.

And all those that are prepared to defend our freedom of speech.

There are many more who deserve high praise too many to name on this post. Except to say none of the Left, who are forever wringing their hands and hypocritically trying to prove that they respect their fellow men, while all the time spewing out their offensive venom at all those who are not prepared to lie down under their boots of domination.
I don't have any boots, aog; is it okay if I just wear slippers of domination?
As long as none of them are women, gay, differently coloured, practise a religion other than Christianity, unemployed, working-class, young...............

I'm sure there are other posters who can make additions to my list as it is far from comprehensive; I've only managed to scratch the surface of your prejudices.
"Well for starters, all our troops that are out in Afghanistan." unless they are female?

"All those that are prepared to stick up for the culture of the once Great Britain" Care to enlighten me as to what British culture involves?
oh but AOG, I live a lawful, decent, and disciplined life.. I just can't stand people who permanently have their heads stuck up their arses.

did I not post the first answer on this thread of yours? I don't think that qualifies as "picking up the pieces of others postings".

Have you read your own post, I myself have never read so much claptrap.

/// These women got sent home for doing what became naturally - it is a sad state of affairs when it is then published in the newsapers for people like you to comment on ///

They are out there in Afghanistan to support our fighting men, not as creature comforts for them. And yes as much as you and others like you, would wish to sweep it under the carpet, the media has every right to report on it. Wouldn't you expect the media to report the fact that some male soldiers where shooting themselves in the foot, so as to be sent home to safety?.

/// Have the men responsible been sent home - of course not ////

Well you have answered yourself "of course not" Perhaps they should, but then I think you would be the first to come on here and condemn them by saying "they should be out there fighting instead of taking cushy Paternity leave in the safety of Britain".

Stop keep on moving the goal posts.

You ask me to name those that deserved praise, which I did.

Now you are asking for my prejudices. Along with everyone else I do have prejudices, name me anyone who hasn't, obviously I am one of yours.

If I was to list mine, I think one could safely say that they would be on the top of the lists of prejudices, of most of the indigenous population of these Islands of Great Britain..
Please do not make such sweeping generalisations, AOG; it may be that some of us who *are* patriotic, hard-working, law-abiding and tolerant also get swept up in the detritus of your ridiculous sentiments.
AOG that is one of the most egotistical and ridiculous statements you have ever made on Answerbank.
Don't assume that because you are a bigot that "most of the indigenous population of these Islands of Great Britain.. " are as well!!!

I am not racist, sexist or homophobic and I am one of the indigenous population of Great Britain, nor are any of my friends and family.
AOG, you have chosen to ignore my last post. there's no winning with you, huh?
Whatever their faults, we should support Our Boys. A recent study shows that we are officially the 11th best army in the world. We should be proud of that.
