20000+ drunk ticketless scousers force their way into a football match and cause death, I'd say he's absolutely correct. Why are the Hillsborough sympathisers so unable to accept the basic truth? Yes Plod made errors but it wouldn't have been an issue if not for all those ticketless hooligans.

so the last place you'd expect to find a "hooligan" would be at a football match, silly me!
Geezer

Having read the following 2 books I suggest you do the same. It will stop you posting cr@p you know nothing about in future

http://www.amazon.co....Scraton/dp/1840181567

http://www.amazon.co....-Taylor/dp/0853231990

(Other book distributors are available)

so all books are true as well, bu66er me I'm learning a lot today.
peg ( long inquiries by eminent people digging into all the facts interviewing hundreds of people and producing well thought out conclusions. )

people who are paid very large sums of cash to make a report that most people would like to hear.
Obviously the books are just a tad more accurate than a cobbled together tv news report a mere 3 hours after the disaster took place

Which is where you took your estimated 20,000+ figure from
Shall I type this slowly for you ?

There is NO evidence that *Hooliganism* (see joelukes definition, and my many examples for clarification) contributed to the tragedy at Hillsborough.

It is as if JH mentioned Heysel and Bradford (1985) as examples of *hooliganism*. One certainly was...............and one wasn't. He was wrong and that hole you are digging, whilst getting deeper, is surely getting narrower for you ?
Somehow I doubt you have or are capable of learning anything about anything you disagree with Geezer.

I and others have blown two rather large gaping holes in your question but it does not seem to bother you at all.

Why are the Hillsborough sympathisers so unable to accept the basic truth?

you posted 2 untruths in your opening post.
You've dodged the issue Geezer

How do you know better than the Taylor report?

Who did you interview? which sources did you use to reach your conclusion?

How did you reach your opinion?

I'm never really interested in what people "reckon" I am interested in why they do

did fans/hooligans/trespassers without tickets force their way in? if the answer to that is yes then they are partially to blame. Yes pick holes in the question if you like but really most of you have been playing semantics and shouting at me rather than actually attempting to undertstand. Inquests are generally set up to get the answers that those setting them up want. QED the David Kelly inquest.
Geezer

Just out of interest which team do you follow?

Am thinking it can't be Everton because they are also 'scousers' of whom you are so vitriolic

Manchester United perhaps? Leeds United?
^ No one 'forced' their way in

A gate was opened by the police to alleviate the life threatening crush which had developed outside

Question Author
more semantics joe...
// did fans/hooligans/trespassers without tickets force their way in? //

No they didn't. The turnstiles were not coping with the amount of people (with tickets) trying to get in and requests to get the game delayed were ignored. As kick off approached, and fearing they would miss the start of the match, the fans became more anxious to get in on time, and a crush developed.

That was when the Police made the fateful and clearly wrong decision to open the gates to the pens behind the goals. Ticketless fans did not force their way in, as the gates were wide open. Opening the gates and letting the ticketless fans in, caused the tragedy.
So basically Geezer you got out your spade and dug yourself a very large inescapable hole.........and then even when people tried to point out your errors you couldn't even be man enough to admit you were wrong and had to carry on digging because you didn't want to lose face

Top job, well done
joe I didn't bother asking geezer who he supported because I knew what the answer would be. but you were wrong stabbing in the dark suggesting

Manchester United perhaps? Leeds United?

an idiot is an idiot weather he supports Manchester United or Leeds United or doesn't really follow football much.
Mick

I was making a calculated guess.....Man Utd are Liverpools most hated rivals

I posted Leeds by mistake, was getting my teams mixed up (Leeds are also Man Utd's other main hated rival)
Question Author
Right so they where all fluffy bunny scallies with tickets and the nasty old police where 100% to blame, right oh!
Question Author
notice that I have done no name calling here. Only those who hate the fact that I don't follow sheep like the official view see fit to call me names. Right oh! End of!
